Dr. William E. Bucher
Dr. Bill Bucher feels blessed to have a career that can have such a dramatic impact in helping people feel better, be healthier, and look better at the same time. He loves the challenge of staying abreast in an ever-changing field and is committed to staying up to date with the latest technologies and treatments. Over the course of his dental career, he has logged over a thousand hours of continuing education to ensure he is providing his patients with the best possible dental care available today.
Growing up in Overland Park, Dr. Bucher earned a B.A. in Life Sciences and Professional Management from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and his D.D.S. from the UMKC School of Dentistry, Following graduation from dental school, he completed a one-year residency in General Practice and Hospital Dentistry at Truman Medical Center East in Lee's Summit, Mo.
Dr. Bucher is a member of the American Dental Association , the Kansas Dental Association, the Fifth District Dental Society and Study Club, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He participates in the CEREC Users Study Club and has been involved in several study club/courses involving cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, TMJ treatments , and functional orthodontics. He serves on the Peer Review committee for the Fifth District.
Since living in Olathe , Dr Bucher has been active in the community and his church. He is involved in the Olathe Chamber of Commerce. In the year 2000, he co-founded the Character Council of Olathe and has served as its director. He has served on the leadership team at his church and enjoys being a small group Bible study leader.
Dr Bucher lives in Olathe with his wife, Teri and has four children. Teri has a Masters in Education and has home educated all of their children from kindergarten through high school.
When not working Dr. Bucher enjoys being involved with his family and their activities. He has coached all of his children in basketball and his sons in football and baseball. He serves as Athletic Director for Metro Academy, a home-school sports organization. He also enjoys running, basketball, hunting, and following the Jayhawks.
